Papercraft Star Challenge #6

Ok! It's time again for another challenge at Papercraft Star! Challenge #6 is a card sketch! So simple, yet fabulous! My brother and his wife are expecting their first baby, and I made this card for her shower! It was so much fun and I can't wait to be an aunt!

Here is the sketch!

Here is my card!

Patterned Paper and Emblishment are from the Girl's Paperie! Very girly! Perfect for a baby theme! The ribbon and buttons came from my own stash!

Thank You Card

I am so sorry for not posting as much as I had been earlier in the summer. It's just been so crazy! Went away for a weekend trip with some friends, doing a training for school, and volleyball starts on Monday and we have two practices a day until school starts! When we got home on sunday, I made this super easy Thank You card! Really easy! I do not own a scorer so I use my trimmer and a mechanical pencil to score my cardstock and make a card! Super easy! Try it out sometime! I just love this Cosmo Cricket "Delovely" line! Great bright colors!

Papercraft Star Challenge #4 Sports Theme

Most of you don't know that last school year, I was the head coach/varsity coach whatever you want to call it... I am only 25 and I feel honored to have coached at that level. While this coming year, I am not coaching the Varsity team, volleyball has not always been a passion of mine. I played while I was in 7th and 8th grade, decided not to play my freshman year in high school (I was a in the band...) My sophomore year, we moved about an hour away... I heard that the school would get a volleyball program the following year... I thought that maybe since I had some playing experience, I would be ahead of the others trying out... So, I signed up for basketball and while I didn't play very much, it gave me the opportunity to "get in shape". Well, I tried out for the team and made it! Then my senior year, I thought, "what if I work my tail off, can this get scholarship money for a college"... And I did!!!! I was the first EVER player to graduate from my high school and earn a college scholarship in the sport of volleyball! This year, I have the opportunity to be selected for my high school's sports hall of honor! I will know shortly if I am approved! So, without further delay and enough rambling! Here is my layout! Check out Papercraft Star and enter your project! You have until Saturday @ noon!

7 Gypsies Letter Block Tray

This weekend while I was at my scrapbooking retreat, we went to the lovely Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie! This sweet little store is amazing! So many up to date collections, ideas, and techniques! You can also shop on their on line store! They have a ton of Maya Road products, if you love Maya Road, you should definitely check it out! While I was there, they were having a great sale! 25% off of everything in the store! Ahhh!!! I just had to get some great stuff! And one of those was a 7 Gypsies letter box tray! There are several different types that you can get, but I went with one that had several boxes of all different sizes! This is what it looks like before the sort of finished product... But I just have to share this project with you! I absolutely love how it turned out! I used Anna Griffin's Calisto paper, a few Tim Holtz's embellishments, Prima flower, ribbon, and large patterned stamps!!! So, without further delay! Here is my almost finished Letter Block Tray!
