I feel so honored to have received my first blog award! I have been posting away the week or so and I have really enjoyed making my Christmas cards and entering them in challenges! So, I want to thank Kristi at Kristi's Paper Creations for taking the time to honor me with an award! She is very talented and is sharing some beautifuil Christmas cards! Head over and check them out!
In order to accept this award, I have to answer 3 questions:
Share three unknown things about myself:
1. I don't like horror movies at all!
2. I recently began drinking Classic Coke... This is a BAD thing! lol!
3. When we have kids, I want a girl mainly for the clothes and scrapbooking. I fear that I wont be able to have the same enjoyment scrapbooking for a boy... Masculine stuff is soooo hard to find! Really!
I also have to pass this award onto 5 bloggers: Here they are in no particular order:
1. Angi @ Cokie Pop Paper Boutique
2. Beth @ Runs With Scraps
3. Kristina @ Kristina's World
4. Regan @ Emora Designs
5. Jennie @ The Kammerer Family
#1-4 are excellent scrappers and have some wonderful creations on their blogs and #5 is my cousin who updates her blog with some super cute pictures of my little cousin!
Hope everyone is having a fantastic monday!
Enjoy,
Catherine

Get Sketchy #68: Warning more Echo Park...
It's time again, for another Christmas card! I have to stop making these! But they are so addicting! I bought some Making Memories paper this morning at Target... Oops... But I am hoping to create a banner for Christmas!
Get Sketchy posted their new sketch and I just had to use it!
Here is the sketch!
Here is my card!
I like it, very monochromatic and kid like with the cute little santa and the pop of green in the sentiment! I chalked everything using my "Rouge" cat eye!
Enjoy!

Cardabilities
I am getting so close to having my cards finished. I probably need about 3 more! I found a great sketch from Cardabilities and thought I could use my Celebrate with Floruish and Storybook Cartridges! I think it turned out cute!
Here is the sketch!
Here is my card!
I like that I could use the patterned paper for the sentiment, and I didn't need to stamp or cut out any letters! Once again, loving my Echo Park paper pack! Have a wonderful sunday!

Mojo Monday #168
This is the first week of the month and Mojo Monday is doing their monthly contest. I really enjoy using their sketches, although most times I don't link up my sketch in time. But I just had to do this one!
Here is the sketch...
Here is my card!
Kind of non-traditional colors. I used Basic Grey's Jovial line which has some excellent prints like these ornaments! I matted both of the patterned papers with some good ol' Bazzill and the American Crafts ribbon is perfect! I have used it several times for my Christmas cards! :D
Enjoy!

Get Sketchy #67
Happy Friday to all!
First up, is a great sketch from Get Sketchy!
Here is my take on the sketch, once again... I am using my Echo Park paper! I am so glad that I found this line! It is excellent! The colors are so bright and cheery!
I love it. The lime green just pops! What do you think? I also used my banner punch to create my lil' trees! And can't forget the pop dots that I used to add some dimension!

Papercraft Star Challenge #23
Hey there,
It's Thursday! Yay! And another challenge is happening at Papercraft Star! Have you submitted your project for this challenge? It's a great challenge!
Green Holidays
I was a little reluctant mainly because I wasn't sure what I could recycle, but today I received these cheap mini popcorn bucket as a Secret Santa gift at school, and I had no idea what I was going to do with them. But then, I had a revelation! Seriously! I would use them for a gift "Box/Bag"!
I was so excited about how it turned out that I had to post even if I didn't have the best lighting! If I have time later, maybe I can post a better picture!
Don't worry, I put patterened paper on all four sides! Aren't these snowmen adorable!? This is more of my Echo Park paper that I absolutely love, using some ribbon from good ol' michael's and Hobby Lobby.
I also used my Martha Stewart scoring board to make my pinwheel like what Liz showed us in the tutorial today! They are so much fun. Try a border punch and see who you like it! :D
Thanks for stopping by!

Card Patterns Sketch #93
Good afternoon,
3 posts in one week. I am on a roll! I am getting some serious crafting done. Later today I am attending a party for my neighbor's 2 year old daughter! So, after making the invitations and creating a banner for today, I had to top it off with a birthday card! I am loving cards at the moment, and Card Patterns has another great sketch! I decided to pull out my embossing stuff for this one!
Here is the sketch!
And I decided to turn the sketch and make the center square smaller so the tied ribbon could fit!
This collection from Basic Grey is super cute and once again, I am trying to reach for stuff that I already have!
Here is my card. The size for mine is 5x5. The embossing power is American Crafts, and I used my fiskars bordar punch!

Christmas Card-The Paper Variety and Card Patterns
Well, two posts in one week! That's pretty good for me! I am so busy with school and coaching that I rarely get to post more than once a week here! But I have been creating several Christmas cards and I found a great sketch at Card Patterns!
Cute, Huh!?
Well, here is my card!
Cute, Huh!?
Well, here is my card!
I am seriously in love with this collection from Echo Park! Love the non-traditional colors! And I was able to use my Cricut! Which is something else I am trying to use more of! Especially since I bought three new Cricut Lite cartridges. This one features Storybook (one of my all time favs) and Celebrate with Flourish! Hope you have a fantastic weekend and you have some crafting time! I know I do! It's a friday and no game and tomorrow is Saturday with no tournament! Woo Hoo!!
I am also entering this challenge at The Paper Variety! They have a great challenge! Check it out!
I chose the three going up and down on the far right! Enjoy! Thursday, December 2, 2010

Papercraft Star Challenge #22
This is my last challenge for my term as a design team member at Papercraft Star. This was my first design team to be a part of! I have thoroughly enjoyed working with such talented crafters and seeing great projects from the participants! Papercraft Star has grown so much since day one and I am so lucky to have been a part of the process!
Make a Holiday Card or Tag that features a Christmas Tree or Ornament
Use the Cricut or Other Die Cut
Add Ribbon
Add Handmade Embellishment
Add Bling
Here it is!
This was a great challenge to end my term on! I love the holidays! I love the sights, sounds, and smells!
I chose to use Bo Bunny's "Noel" collection, very traditional, deep, rich colors! I used my new Martha Stewart Scoring board to create this paper rosette by cut a strip 1inx12in. and scoring the strip every quarter inch. Fold accordian style, hot glue has worked the best for me, and then glue on end and over lap the other end. Then I punched a 1in circle to glue the rosette to.
Materials Used:
Patterned Paper: Bo Bunny's Noel
Cardstock: Bazzill
Brown sparkly brads: Paper Studio- Hobby Lobby
Brown Ribbon-Michaels
Green Ribbon-American Crafts

Here is my card for this week's challenge! It has to be one of my all time favorite cards! I love the green's and yellow's. All patterened paper is Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness... Such a great collection! I purchased a banner punch recently and I love how simple it is to create a cute banner! A little trick I use is... that I find it tough to put the string on the banner so, I just tuck it under each pennant... And adhere the each piece to the card... Try it out, maybe you have a better way, and please let me know! Banners are tough to adhere to pages, or atleast I think they are.
