Happy belated Memorial Day Weekend

Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Here are a few of my latest creations!

This one is from a paper pack that I thought I would use.

The next one is utra feminine! I absolutely love this one. I am still searching for the perfect picture to add to this layout! :D

This Bo Bunny Chipboard album was so much fun! We have two little kitties (Cleo and Tiger Lily) and I just couldn't resist using the Basic Grey: "Max and Whiskers" line!

Next is a card that I made over the weekend. I love the Penny Lane line! Super cute and you can't forget to add BLING!

  1. Hi Catherine,

I see you stopped by the new and soon to open Papercraft Star (and message board)... Thank you for visiting us!!! I'm always happy to meet someone new! I'm Beth.. co-founder of the new challenge blog. I'm looking at your creations here and they are very pretty, I see that you might be interested in applying for Design Teams and that is FABULOUS!!! It's great fun to be on a Design Team (it forces you to create even when you think you can't...you get to work with and meet so many great people... I could go on and I.) Anyhow, I'm not expert by any means, but if you don't mind I would love to give you just a couple of things I learned from other more experienced papercraft bloggers than myself. I would like first to suggest that you crop your photos in just a little bit closer so that we can see your lovely work at it's closest and best. Also, attempt to take your pictures in an area that gets lots of natural light but not direct sunlight and don't use your flash. If you have a photo editing software you like you can adjust the lighting with that... instead of using a flash that gives you a shiny light in one spot of your photos (I wish I could remember where I read all these photo tips...if I do, I'll send them on to you because there is more, but I don't want to write you a novel the first tme we "talk" lol!)...

Anyhow, consider adding photos to your layouts (I know some people don't like to do that) before you post them... even if they are just of your cat! :-) People love to see the photos on the layout and they really make it look "finished" lots of Design Teams won't let you post layouts that don't have photos. Also.. consider providing a supplies used list with each of your posts.. it's a bit more work to write everything down while you are crafting, but followers really want to not only see your beautifully executed project they also want to read the exact items that you used so they can scraplift some inspiration. It's also a great practice to get into if you decide that you would like to start submitting some of your creations to magazine publications as they require that with your project photos.

Anyhow these are just a few things that I think might help you grab up some more followers too because you've got talent and posting stuff on our blogs is all about being inspirational to other crafters... right?? Anyhow, feel free to visit me at my personal blog, www.runswithscraps.blogspot.com or over at Papercraft Star.... and if you have any tips for me... I'd love to hear them! I've learned some of the best stuff from other crafters just like us!!

Have a great day...and I'm loving your work...and that darling little kitten of yours too! Thanks again for becoming a part of our new blog, it's crafters just like you that will make it great!!!
