Papercraft Star Challenge #10

Hey Everyone! Well, i I have almost made it through my first week back at school! It's been a busy week! But enjoyable! This week at Papercraft Star, we have a simple card sketch that I absolutely love! It's definitely one that you could use again if you needed a card in a hurry! Let me share with you the actual sketch!
See! It's sooo simple! So I hope you play along this week! Here is my card!

For this challenge, I made my own card! If you don't have a scorer, it's ok!
First cut the paper to fit the dimension of the card you want to create, for this card, I cut the paper to 10 in 5in.  Find a mechanical pencil, place your paper so the length is 10 in then find 5 inches on the ruler that pops out on the side! From there... Take your mechanical pencil (with NO lead showing) score the paper down the center where the blade would go. And there you have it... your own scorer, and 5x5 card! I inked the edges, and layered the vertical strip of paper with some inexpensive satin ribbon from Michaels! Hope to see your card linked this week at Papercraft Star!

Supplies used:
Pattern Paper: My Mind's Eye: Be Loved
Ribbon: from Michaels
Stamp: Hero Arts
Layered flowers: both are Prima
Pearl Accent: Kaisercraft
Cardstock: Bazzill

Papercraft Star Challenge #9

Over at Papercraft Star, we are on Challenge #9! And we are using a really beautiful photo for our inspiration. I used the colors and squares as the main inspiration in the card that I created using Bo Bunny's Mama-Razzi collection!  The borders are the pre punched borders from Bazzill! Those are my fav when you are short on time!!  Here is the photo and here is my card! Hope to see you join us on this week's challenge!

Papercraft Star Challenge #8

Ok! It's time for another challenge at Papercraft Star! It's challenge #8: Bows, Buttons, and Bling, which happen to be some of my favorite embellishments! I decided to create a card for this challenge! I love bright colors, especially for cards! They just make the day so much better!
For this card, I the polka dot paper is Basic Grey's Olivia collection. The ribbon came from Michael's, and the card stock is Bazzill! The buttons came from my personal stash and the bling came from Hobby Lobby (Paper Studio)! That neat "Live Life" stamp is Stampology's Everyday Sentiments. The border stamp was bought at Michael's...

Hope to see your project this week at Papercraft Star's great challenge! Who doesn't use bows, buttons, or bling!? So join us this week! :)

Creative Scrappers Sketch #116

Ok. I did it again! I am posting for the second time today! Wow! I can't believe it! Well, I wanted to get this post in before I head to get my hair cut! I am so excited about getting my hair cut! Something to start the school year! I need a little change, not too much though... nothing drastic!

I decided to work on another sketch from Creative Scrappers! I really enjoy their sketches! Here is sketch #116!

It's great, I love the partial die cut at the bottom! Definitely pulled out my Storybook Cartridge for that one! I bought some Glitz paper after I was married, which was over a year ago and thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to scrap one of my favorite pictures from the wedding that didn't include myself or Shawn! We were waiting for the ceremony to get going and my maid of honor, Cindy Lou, my friend from college, Andrea, and my younger sister were sitting on a bench! I thought it would look so cute it they did the Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil pose! I thought it turned out great! The chandelier is from the Home Decor cartridge! I think it added a perfect touch, as well as the damask ribbon from Michael's,  and the two prima flowers! I am so proud of the way it turned out! Hope you are having a fantastic day!

Creative Scrappers Sketch #115

Let me tell you! I love Creative Scrappers' sketches! They are fantastic! They always, always, always give great sketches each Sunday! If you haven't checked them out, you must! This is last week's sketch! Super cute border of circles a more than one photo layout! Just great!
I had some left over Bo Bunny: Block Party paper and decided to use that for the layout! A few weeks ago, Shawn and I went for a little vacation with another couple to fish and craft! We had such a great time! So, this was a perfect chance for me to scrap these pictures! I used the Simply Sweet cartridge for the letters and stars! I absolutely love how the stars turned out!

Papercraft Star Challenge #7

Challenge #7 is going on over at Papercraft Star! Check it out! We used a really cute photo for our inspiration!

I used some Basic Grey Max and Whisker's paper, felt flower embellishment, and cardstock embelishments and a sheet of Bazzill cardstock for the background with inked edges! Kind of stepping out of the box on that one!  So, I hope that you join us this week for a really fun challenge!

Ok. So today I have been scrappin' away! Made two layouts, one is missing the pictures and the other is using a sketch from the challenge blog Stuck?! They have some great sketches and some great prizes! I suggest if you have time to check it out! Here is the sketch!

And here is my interpretation!
All patterned paper is from Pink Paislee's Queen Bee Collection and the flowers are Bazzill, the ribbon and button came from my stash!

I knew I needed to finish another LO for our wedding album! Slow and steady wins the race! He He!
